To follow-up on the success of the last "long term support" (LTS) version of TYPO3 CMS 4.5, the team is currently working on the next stable version of TYPO3 CMS, which will again be a LTS, supported for three years: TYPO3 CMS 6.2. Release date is December 10th, 2013 and at the time of the T3CON the team is working on stabilizing the code. Ernesto Baschny, release manager of both LTS versions will give the audience an update on the current development status, present some of the new features of the 6.2 release and give an overview of what has to be considered to migrate an existing 4.5 version to the latest 6.2. The session will also allow the audience to get to know how the core team and the active contributors work, providing an opportunity to get answers directly from the release team.
