In the talk I will describe the whole "life cycle" of security issues starting from how they are discovered and finishing with the release and announcement of the fix. Listeners will get in insight in how security researchers work together with the security team to improve security of software in general and specifically how this process is handled for the TYPO3 product family.

Having a good understanding of the current workflow will help the listeners of this talk to get the most out of Security Advisories and to judge how critical a particular bug might be for TYPO3 installations he or she takes care of.
