In early 2013, the STAEDTLER, one of the leading pencil-makers, relaunched its international website (www.staedtler.com).

The website features a responsive template that delivers all pages and online services optimized for the huge variety of devices we face today.

For STAEDTLER’s wide product range, an Apache Solr driven product finder has been integrated. It is charged by an automated import system to efficiently manage the vast variety of products and international assortments while reducing manual editing effort to a minimum.

In this talk you will see how a modern TYPO3 Website can take the challenges of an international and multi-device audience and how it is possible to nicely incorporate the manual editing process with an automated data import system by using TYPO3 workspaces (yes, really).
