Welcome to T3CON13
The 9th European TYPO3 Conference
October 29-31 2013 // Filderhalle in Stuttgart
By Thomas Hempel, Klaus Rosenfeld
The Schmidt Theater and the Schmidts-Tivoli, both located on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, belong to Germany's most successful theaters.
In this talk we offer a "peek behind the curtains" of these stages. We will present the "playing schedule database", an application build from scratch with the help of the TYPO3 Flow framework. The recently released software acts as the theater's "digital heart" and allows to plan and manage every event taking place on the theater's stages and in other locations.
We will talk about our reasons for choosing TYPO3 Flow and the experiences we gathered after implementing a real-world project of such a scale. Furthermore we like to give insights about the project's rather non-linear history and how we tried to deal with obstacles on this way including the challenge of user's acceptance when introducing a new software of this scale to everyone's daily work.
Excellent Wi-Fi will be available for the duration of the conference.
