Case Study "Alpina Farben"

In the second half of 2012 we successfully relaunched Alpina-farben.de

Alpina, as a brand of the DAW Group, primarily targets the Do-It-Yourself audience.

As there were three agencies involved as well as the customer itself, the project setup was complex from the beginning.

During the course of this project, challenges had to be addressed in the likes of how automatically imported content can interact with hand tailored, manually applied content. And of course “automatically imported content” meant some “data mining” in existing databases.

But besides glancing at some of the data’s infrastructure and how we dealt with it, let’s also have a look at some of the other features: 

The Alpina page of course sports three different navigation concepts just to browse the product line alone. Not to speak of the other two main categories, which obviously come with navigation concepts of their own, too. Evidently that deserves some ado - as well as some of the other nice features, like the notebook option.
